Dr Uma Menon is a US Board-certified Neurologist and Epileptologist, who resides in the USA and has been practicing exclusively epilepsy for over 10 years. She did her medical training at M. S. Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore, followed by post-graduate training in Internal Medicine and Neurology. She received her fellowship training from the Cleveland Clinic and Yale University and also has an MBA in Healthcare from George Washington University. The American Clinical Neurophysiology Society (ACNS) and American Epilepsy Society (AES) granted her ‘Fellow’ status in 2017. Dr. Menon has been the Neurology Residency Program Director at Tulane University and is a committee member of several professional organizations including the International League Against Epilepsy, the American Epilepsy Society, the American Academy of Neurology, American Clinical Neurophysiology, and others. She has been a speaker at national (US) and international meetings and has published extensively. She is an ardent patient and physician advocate and is actively involved in teaching and clinical research. She sees adult patients with seizures/epilepsy and has a special interest in women with epilepsy, young adults with epilepsy (transitioning from pediatric to adult care) as well as patients with seizures in the ICU.
